How it works

Below are the simple steps that we go though at Art2Card, working closely with you to produce your greeting cards, postcards or business cards...we create/lay up the card design so that all bleed, trim, type areas, creases etc are taken care of - there is no online/website template uploading required.

Artwork
You can either supply us with your original artwork to be scanned/photographed by post (charges apply) or simply email your digital image(s) - saved as a jpeg/psd/tiff/pdf file, along with instructions for the size of card you are wanting and any details you might want on the back of the card - see examples below - info@art2card.co.uk

If sending more than a couple of images we recommend using one of the two file sharing websites on our contact page - both are very easy to use and require no signing up - simply locate the file you wish to use on your computer, enter our email address and send. If using this method you may to wish to send us a follow up email with your instructions.

Card Layout
Your card is then designed by us to your specification:

  • Front Cover - your image

  • Inside - optional greeting, any message can be written on the inside of the card, for simple text message in black please add 5p per card.

  • Back Cover - automatically we will place a small thumbnail of the cover image along with a title of the card, the medium and artist's name. If you wish to be contacted then there is plenty of room to place your email address, website, Facebook, a logo etc. There is plenty of room on the back of the card to have anything you like so when sending any images over give us all the information you require for the back cover of the card.

  • Proofing
    A proof, exactly as you will receive the finished card including an envelope and clear cellophane sleeve will be sent prior to printing for you to check all aspects of the card (i.e. colour, size, spelling, font, layout etc...) Sign off confirmation (by email or telephone) is required prior to printing.

  • Printing and Finishing
    Your cards will then be printed, cut, creased, folded and enclosed with a premium envelope inside a self-seal cellophane sleeve. Please let us know if your cards are for your own use and therefore won’t require being enclosed in a cellophane bag, if this is the case there is a 5p per card discount. Unfortunately, we do not sell or send out the cellophane bags seperately.

  • Delivery
    Your order will then be packed and shipped using Royal Mail or via a courier depending on size of order/cost effectiveness. All postage and packing costs incurred for delivery, sending proofs and return of artwork will be added to the invoice at the current rates charged by the Post Office or courier. We will ensure the best deal for you.

  • Payment
    An invoice will be sent out via email when the order is ready to be sent. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer.

  • Turn Around Times
    We always estimate about two weeks from receiving artwork to delivering your final order, however this time can be dependant on the proofing system and how quick the customer comes back to us on receiving the proof. Most orders are mailed within 2 working days after the proof has been approved. Repeat orders, depending on quantity are turned around within 3 working days of being received. If you have a deadline to meet then please let us know and if it’s possible we will make sure your order is with you on time.
